Rs 4 Cr Seized from Fake Call Centre #contactcenterworld TOI had reported on Monday how fraudsters have changed their modus operandi and were operating out of rented flats with fewer employees to avoid suspicion. Cops on Wednesday raided two more flats at New Town Sankalpa II housing complex at tower 9 and tower 6 and found the two bags containing cash worth Rs 3.8 crore. Laptops, a cash counting machine, a gold ring and 11 branded watches were also found there. "The men used to operate call centres where the employees used to dupe foreign nationals posing as foreign government officials. The entire money transaction used to happen in cryptocurrency which was then brought back to India over a hawala network. We are questioning the men further to get deeper into the network," said Praveen Prakash, DC New Town. Cops said they have sealed the two flats and are conducting raids across multiple housing complexes in New Town and Salt Lake. #contactcenterworld Posted by Veronica Silva Cusi, news correspondent Date Posted: Monday, March 13, 2023 About ContactCenterWorld.com ContactCenterWorld.com is the world's premier on-line resource for the call and contact center industry.
