8x8 Awarded NASPO ValuePoint Contract
San Jose, CA, USA, Sept, 2019 -- 8x8, Inc. (NYSE: EGHT), a Software-as-Service provider of voice, video, chat, contact center, and enterprise-class API solutions powered by one global cloud communications platform, announced that it has been awarded a place on a cooperative government contract by the National Association of State Procurement Officers (NASPO) ValuePoint for state, local, education and special district (SLED) agencies. A consortium of procurement professionals from across the public sector, NASPO assesses and evaluates potential vendors on behalf of government agencies. By awarding 8x8 a cooperative contract, NASPO confirms that 8x8 meets the stringent regulatory and systems standards for agencies looking to replace their legacy, on-premises technology with a single cloud contact center and communications solution such as the 8x8 X Series.
As businesses continue to embrace the opportunity of cloud communications to increase productivity, boost employee engagement and improve customer experiences, public agencies are beginning to follow suit. By replacing traditional systems with cloud-native solutions, government institutions across the local, state and national levels can better communicate with constituents and stakeholders in the ways they’re most comfortable.
"When it comes to communications, citizens have the same expectations when it comes to calling customer service as they do when calling their congressional representatives," said John DeLozier, global channel chief, at 8x8. "As the public sector begins its cloud journey to better align themselves with the expectations of modern customers, they need a trusted partner. As a best-in-class communications solution, 8x8 is proud to be the only UCaaS provider directly listed on the NASPO cooperative contract to help the public sector modernize its approach to constituent engagement."
"NASPO ValuePoint contracts are among the most successful and highest volume contracts in the U.S.," said Solomon Kingston, contract manager and member of NASPO. "This level of cooperation from across all 50 states enables us to adhere to the highest standards of transparency, so we can deliver solutions that can make a tremendous difference – at the best possible price. 8x8 meets and exceeds our standards, and we look forward to continuing this partnership."
