Call Center Firm Offers Free Call Center Training

Cebu City, Philippines, May 17, 2021 -- A homegrown call center firm has revived its initiative of accepting trainees for its free call center training program in rural areas.

Performance 360 Call Center is giving priority to residents in Cordova, Liloan, Compostela, Danao, Carmen, Sogod, Borbon and the north of Cebu for its 100-hour online call center training class.

Interested applicants will learn familiarization of the US, Europe, Australia working culture, English communication skills, sales and telemarketing, customer service, call handling and hands-on phone experience.

Performance 360 Call Center founder Mike Cubos said this free-of-charge training is aimed at capacitating senior high graduates and those jobseekers who want to pursue a career in the call center industry.

Cubos added now is the time to boost job training such as this, especially since the work-from-home setup has become a favorable working style for most companies due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

He added that the heightened demand for home-based outsourcing jobs also makes this training more relevant so that it will eventually expand the call center opportunities in rural areas.

After tapping the north of Cebu, Cubos in the future, plans to replicate the same concept in the southern part of Cebu.

In 2017, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) pledged to work with Performance 360 to roll out the rural impact sourcing in the country.

The DICT’s Rural Impact Sourcing (RIS) program aims to speed up countryside and rural business process management development by forging partnerships with the local government units (LGU).

Rural impact sourcing is an initiative that specifically focuses on areas where there is a high population but low employment due to lack of investors. It is aimed at contributing to the country’s development plan’s pursuit of inclusive growth.

Cubos, in a previous interview, said the idea of spreading employment in the countryside through outsourcing is more realistic now given the high interest of LGUs to provide more jobs for their people and the improvement of internet connectivity in provincial areas.
