Plymouth, UK, Apr 14, 2023 - Communications provider EE has announced plans to take on 250 more people to work at its Plymouth call centre this year. The organisation will recruit dozens of people in the city during the next six months as part of a drive to boost staff numbers across all its contact centres.

The new Plymouth jobs will be based at the recently refurbished EE contact centre at Langage Business Park, Plympton. They will cover service roles for the company.

The company is advertising permanent, full-time customer advisor jobs paying a starting salary of £21,408 plus regular bonuses. There are also part-time jobs paying £11,417.60 plus bonuses.

The role is described as "the backbone of our business by supporting and being there for our customers" EE also boasts that staff can take advantage of flexible working and receive "huge discounts" of EE and BT products including mobile and broadband bills. The company said this could save people "hundreds of pounds every year".

A complete refit of the centre was completed at the end of 2022 with EE, part of BT Group, saying it has created a modern workspace for about 1,000 people already based there. The refurbishment has resulted in new café and restaurant facilities, flexible workspaces, collaboration areas, and "relax and refuel" spaces. Staff can have free tea and coffee, and there is even a concierge service.
