Veronica Ogando (8 Yrs in the industry)Veronica Ogando is an experienced trade and investment promotion professional concentrating in straty-building, private sector development and competitiveness. She has worked in the enhancement of Dominican Republic’s business climate and has also collaborated, from a technical standpoint, for the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD) to become a true economic development agency that can generate a positive change of paradigm in regards to the country’s business potential through its effective positioning in international markets. She has worked in the development of the Dominican Republic's Contact Center & BPO Cluster, where issues such as the importance and relevance of promoting Science, Technology and Innovation policies, in order to achieve the country’s desired economic goals, are currently being worked on from a private and public sector perspective. In addition she coordinated the first major industry-specific job fair in the Dominican Republic for the second largest multinational in the Contact Center Industry, worked closely in the strategic conception and logistical coordination of the Contact Center and BPO Cluster in the Dominican Republic and collaborates with the Services Sector Department at CEI-RD to achieve strategic positioning of the Industry within the international investment attraction efforts. Currently she specializes in professional areas related to government relations, business facilitation, Foreign Direct Investment promotion, and SME development. Veronica obtained her MBA Concentration in Business Strategy and her undergraduate studies in Business Management from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in the Dominican Republic.
