Chad serves as the Vice President of Operations for Optum’s Customer Care organization. He leads sales and service insurance operations for 14 clients, including the largest, most admired companies in the health care industry In his current role as Vice President of Operations, he is the core leader accountable for the development of sales and service operations strategy and execution. In this role, he leads a team of approximately 3,500 sales and service professionals and leaders. This operation drives more than $800M in annual new business premium for our clients. His team serves more than 20 million customer transactions every year. Chad’s core strategic priorities emphasize the following: • Development of sales and service effectiveness through the strategic use of customer relationship data (CRM) • Financial reengineering of the operation, emphasizing improved labor expense management • Creation of a best in class work culture that relies on active talent management and employee engagement.
