About Me, My Hobbies & Interests!

Zandise Malunga is a young enterprising individual. He has been privileged to be educated by schools in high end income areas while he was groomed by an underprivileged society. These circumstances influence most of his decisions with a heightened sense of social awareness. He began working at a small call center in Durban (Stamford Hill) as a telemarketer, raising funds for a Cancer Care Home. Soon after he was recruited in Umhlanga where he worked as a tracking agent in a control room. Zandise is now working on a call center campaign to provide much needed jobs to the semi skilled and skilled youth in his rural township. The contact center will aid companies needing to outsource their business processes to increase their strategic focus. "the idea started in my head when I moved to Durban to study and find a job. I was one of many youths who relocated to the Durban C.B.D. for the same reason, an old ritual since the apartheid days." There is a great need to improve industry in the Portshepstone area to create job opportunities for local graduates. Many students graduate with deplomas in Human Resource Management, Business and even Accounting at competitive levels acceptable to the mainstream. There is a constant supply of youths that are either qualified but unemployed or qualified but in need of inservice training in order to graduate. These youths are now products of reputable institutions such as UKZN, DUT International Hotel School and FET colleges Sadly though others lose their dreams or motivation to stay economically active because of this reality. This has caused high levels of teenage pregnancy, school drop outs and a dependance on substances (drugs and alcohol). The call centre industry is a multifaceted tool, perfect for the creation of many skills related jobs that fall in line with most of the qualifications that these youths have achieved. This working environment also tends to expose the personel to a veriety of peope (local and international) with similar cultures and languages. Bringing these jobs closer to the homelands will also curb the high volume of emigrants into the Durban C.B.D. Since 2013 the government of South Africa has noticed a great opportunity in encouraging the growth of offshore outsourcing. Although the incentives scheme is designed to attract overseas investors, many companies in South Africa find themselves outsourcing business processes to give themselves time for strategic focus creating a viable market for call center outsourcing.
