When looking at workforce management for the first time it is important to understand what you need from an operational perspective, to help find the areas in your operation where you have the largest pain. Get down to the top few issues, and use those issues when you are looking at evaluating systems. Find out how they are going to help you address those specific issues. Workforce management has a number of features, a lot of functionality but typically there are a few issues that vary from customer to customer, and those are the ones that are most important. So really the most important thing is to really understand what you want the product to do, and then go out with that in mind when you are talking to the different vendors (posted by a member)
