I recall hearing a radio commercial promoting a new technology and suggesting potential customers call a toll free number with the name of the company after the 800 number i.e. Call us free on 1800 COMPANY NAME. I thought to myself how many people will misspell the name and get through to somewhere else? The same applies to promoting web addresses over the radio. If you are promoting your company over the radio make sure you have thought of all the possible ways customers can spell your name and make sure you own all the various e-mail and telephone numbers – if you don’t, your competitors may get them and then benefit from the response you have generated!
