News : 1-800-GOT-JUNK Hiring 200 People for Vancouver Office
Vancouver, BC, Canada, March 30 2016 -- It may be tough to find people to live and work in notoriously unaffordable Vancouver, but that isn’t stopping the founder of 1-800-GOT-JUNK from expanding his business locally.
O2E Brands, the parent company of 1-800-GOT-JUNK and CEO Brian Scudamore’s other ventures, is hosting a job fair in hopes of filling 200 positions at its head office on Great Northern Way.
Scudamore echoed recent comments by local unicorn startup Hootsuite that it can be challenging to find employees in an expensive city, but he doesn’t plan on leaving even though 87 per cent of the company’s business is in the United States.

"Selfishly, I love it. We’ve got a beautiful city. This is home, I’m never moving," he said. "I know it’s an expensive city to live in, but we believe in Vancouver and this is where we’re hiring."
The jobs range from CFO to sales gigs in the call centre. Some are summer jobs, but the bulk are full-time, Scudamore said.
"Many companies would offshore our call centre, but we want our people in the same space," he said.
