Raipur, India, May 6, 2021 -- To scale up the war on Covid-19, the 104 Helpline number is being strengthened as an ‘One Stop Solution’ to the pandemic in Chhattisgarh, Dr Subash Mishra, Director, of the Epidemic Control, announced on Wednesday.
At present, the 104 Helpline is in service for the Covid patients in the state. The number of toll-free lines is being increased.
Any patient or relative can call and clear their doubts and find solutions to their problems. If a patient's problem is not solved, they will be called back with the answer, Dr Mishra told the media.
Dr Mishra said all the operators of the centre are being trained. Now, they will receive the call and provide a satisfactory reply to patients' query or relatives instead of transferring the calls as done earlier.
The Helpline will also provide information regarding home isolation, availability of beds in hospital, ambulance details and treatment protocol.
He said in March around 22,000 calls were received. This soared to 78,000 in April.
