News : 150 New Jobs Boost for Direct Save Telecom
Dec 4, 2014 -- Telecommunications provider Direct Save Telecom is to create 150 jobs over the next year after opening a new contact centre in Birmingham City Centre.
The office opened in mid- November and will initially house 20 sales staff with the additional jobs being added by next summer.
The new hires will more than double staff numbers at the company which currently employs around 100 people at sites in Watford, Birmingham, Croydon and Slough. The latter two sites have only been opened in the past year.
The company offers broadband and fixed-line services to the UK residential and business market.
The firm says the new site will be headed up by Adam Logie, who joins as telesales manager and he will have responsibility for growing sales and hiring the additional staff.
"I see this as a watershed moment for Direct Save in terms of expansion and building our customer base. Birmingham and the surrounding area represents a massive catchment area, which means this is a huge opportunity for increased sales and growth," he said.
Chief executive officer Stavros Tsolakis, who founded the company in 2003, added: "This expansion has been in the pipeline for some time. We chose Birmingham as we see it as England’s second city with an excellent catchment area that fits exactly with our target demographic."
