News : 2 Companies Plan to Add 225 Jobs in Indy Area
Anderson, IN, USA, July 14, 2015 -- A call center and a packaging company plan expansions that will add a total of 225 jobs in the Indianapolis area.
Xerox said it will add 165 "customer care" jobs at its Anderson call center, where it already employs 800 people.
Xerox will hold a job fair for applicants at the Indiana Convention Center’s 500 Ballroom. Applicants also can apply at the call center at 2828 Enterprise Drive in Anderson.
Xerox said it wants applicants to have at least six months of call center experience or something similar. The starting wage is $12 an hour.
Premier Packaging LLC said it’s creating 60 jobs by 2017 at a distribution facility it’s opening at 6461 Saguaro Court in Indianapolis, near 62nd Street and Guion Road.
Louisville, Ky.-based Premier said it’s spending money to renovate a 159,400-square-foot industrial building to serve as a distribution hub for packaging supplies. The new jobs will pay $25 an hour, Premier said.
