News : 7 Appoints Scott Horn as New Chief Marketing Officer
Campbell, Calif January 19, 2016 -- 7, the global provider in customer engagement solutions, announced that it has appointed Scott Horn to its leadership team as Chief Marketing Officer. Horn will lead 7's global marketing organization by growing revenue, identifying high-growth market opportunities and increasing adoption amongst enterprise customers.
Horn joins 7 after four years as Vice President, Global Marketing for Seagate Technology, a global storage technology provider. In this role, he drove revenue with a redesigned product line strategy and focused digital and demand marketing efforts on enhancing customer acquisition and loyalty. He also spearheaded the company's rebrand from a component manufacturer to a technology solution provider.
Previously, he spent 17 years at Microsoft in marketing and product development roles across various lines of business, including Windows Phone, Windows Embedded and Developer Tools.
"Scott has held marketing leadership roles at both pioneering and leading technology companies, including Seagate Technology and Microsoft, and has a proven track record of cultivating world-class marketing teams," said PV Kannan, CEO, 7. In his 20-year career, Horn has held senior positions managing all aspects of marketing and product development, including product marketing, corporate marketing, communications, lead generation and digital and social marketing.
Horn was a software developer for several years and holds both a Bachelor of Science in Information and Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business
