News : 60 Jobs Boost for Halifax Insurer Covéa
July 29, 2014 -- Halifax-based insurer Covéa has announced that it has brought forward its plans to employ 60 extra staff in Halifax as the company expands.
The roles are a part of the company’s plans to employ 120 new staff over next 12 to 18 months and include sales, compliance and management roles.
Covéa, a mutual insurer in Europe and in the UK, is a merger between Reading-based firm MMA and Halifax-based Provident.
This is in addition to the announcement a 300 job boost at Polyframe over the next three years as well as new jobs at Nestlé and The Haulage (Holdings) Organisation.
Conservative PCC for Halifax Philip Allott was impressed when he visited Covéa’s Halifax contact centre.
Mr Allott said: "It’s great to see the economic prospects for Halifax getting much better and lots of new jobs being created.
