News : Firstsource Solutions to Open Call Center in March
Eugene, OR, USA, Feb. 12, 2015 -- Mumbai-based Firstsource Solutions plans to open in March a call center operation in Eugene, Ore., that will employ at least 350 people, the Eugene Register-Guard reported Feb. 5.
The company has posted listings on job sites seeking call center supervisors, customer service representatives, training managers, IT engineers and other posts, the newspaper added.
The city’s economic development officials had previously disclosed a call center plan, but declined to name the company.
The Register-Guard said Firstsource officials in India and at a satellite office in Kentucky did not respond to calls for comment.
John Lively, a state lawmaker from Springfield, Ore., and interim head of Lane Metro Partnership, said representatives from Firstsource told him they are looking to start with a plan for 350 jobs and "at some point they think they could grow to around 700 (employees)."
