On December 1, 2015, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO") issued United States Patent number 9,203,652 entitled "Systems, Methods, Devices and Arrangements for Cost-Effective Routing." The ‘652 patent relates to a variety of methods, systems, devices and arrangements for assessing and/or controlling call routing for IP communications. According to one such method, endpoint devices are used to monitor and/or assess call quality. The assessment is sent to a centralized server arrangement and call routing is controlled therefrom.
