News : 8x8 Signs Agreement to Acquire UK-Based DXI
San Jose, CA, USA, May 27, 2015 -- 8x8, Inc. (NASDAQ:EGHT), a provider of cloud-based unified communications and contact center solutions, announces the company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held DXI Ltd., a UK-based provider in cloud-based outbound and blended contact center solutions. The transaction is expected to close before the end of the month. 8x8 plans to bring DXI services and solutions to the U.S. market by the end of 2015.
"The acquisition of DXI enables 8x8 to continue to boost its European expansion efforts and further position the company as a leader in cloud contact center solutions as we continue to penetrate the mid-market and enterprise," said Vik Verma, Chief Executive Officer of 8x8.
