News : A Call Centre in Oman for Health Tips
Muscat, Oct 12, 2014 -- The Ministry of Health launched a call centre on Sunday, which will enable citizens and residents to seek health-related advice over phone from specialists, by simply dialling a number.
The service is being made available to the public through the department's call centre, which can be accessed through the phone everyday between 7:30am and 9:30pm.
On official holidays, the call centre will work from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
The contact centre provides services like medical awareness, answers queries, receives suggestions and reports incidents, whether submitted by people from the wider society or by the ministry's employees.
All appropriate issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities.
The contact centre will initially serve the primary healthcare centres but will soon be covering the wilayats of Muscat region along with the Quriyat Hospital, working under the public authority for healthcare.
With the launch of this call centre, the Ministry of Health aims to create a communication channel between the ministry and the society with a message that it wants to serve all citizens and residents, while adhering to high quality and professional functioning norms.
