News : AAA To Create Nearly 600 Local Jobs
Salt Lake City, UT, USA, Feb. 18, 2015 -- AAA of Northern California, Nevada and Utah announced plans to open a new call center that will bring nearly 600 new jobs to Clearfield, Utah. Set to be open as early as April 2015 and be fully operational by January 2016, the Member Service Center will dispatch roadside service technicians to AAA members, including customers in Utah.
"Utah is known for its talented, educated workforce and strong technology infrastructure, so we are confident that Clearfield is the right place to grow our business and hire local employees who are passionate about providing outstanding service to our members," said Jim Twardos, executive vice president, Member Experience and Road Service Operations for AAA Northern California, Nevada and Utah. "As we plan our club's growth for the next 100 years, this hiring initiative will bring the club's total workforce to more than 2,800 employees – nearly a 30 percent increase."
When the Member Service Center opens, employees will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond quickly to AAA members who request road service for problems such as dead batteries, flat tires, or other automotive emergencies.
The Member Service Center will be located at 888 South 2000 East in Clearfield and will house call-center operations in 55,000 square feet of a two-story office campus.
"We are excited that AAA has selected Clearfield as the site to expand its service operations," said Clearfield City Mayor Mark Shepherd. "As a highly respected company, they will be a valuable asset to Clearfield as they bring high-quality employment opportunities to our residents and those of our neighboring communities. The number of jobs they bring should have a significant economic impact on our city."
