News : ABQ Call Center Filling 350 Jobs
Albuquerque, NM, USA, May 17, 2016 -- Sitel is hiring about 350 people at its Albuquerque call center for full-time permanent and seasonal jobs, the company said.
About 90 of those positions are already filled, and more people will be hired after a job fair at Sitel’s call center, 4420 The 25 Way NE.
Applicants can also apply online immediately.
About 90 percent of the added jobs are to serve a "leading telecommunications provider," while the remainder are for a home health-care appliance company, said Tim Hawco, Albuquerque site director.
The seasonal jobs will last until October, he said.

He would not say what the jobs pay because a variety of incentives mean employees earn differing amounts. However, the average hourly wage for call center employees in New Mexico is $14.57, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Hawco said the call center, which has been in Albuquerque for 18 years, currently has about 910 workers. Once all positions are filled, it will be at its capacity of about 1,200, he said.
"With all the hiring, we will be a full house," Hawco said.
