News : Alcatel-Lucent Launches New Cloud UCaaS Products for SMBs
Feb 13, 2014 -- Alcatel-Lucent has launched new cloud-based enterprise communications products for both small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and an expansion of services for mid-to-large enterprises.
Alcatel-Lucent's new OpenTouch Office Cloud (OTOC) platform is a unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) offering. Building on the latest advances in communications services and applications to improve employee productivity and enhance customer service, OTOC applies Alcatel-Lucent’s OmniPCX Office RCE technology foundation.
OTOC is particularly of interest for value-added distributors as they help customers shift to the cloud and form an offer for current CPE-based OXO customers to transform their networks, and help create customer retention and loyalty. Avita in Ireland and Synelyans in France have been named as launch channel partners for the first deliveries of OTOC in their respective countries. Additional partners will shortly be announced for the Asia-Pacific and central northern European markets.
Alcatel-Lucent will update its OpenTouch Enterprise Cloud (OTEC) platform, offering a new CPE-2-Cloud transformation programme which gives channel partners more opportunities to address customers seeking full, hybrid or overlay cloud options.
OTEC also offers a new feature, Voice Inbound Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS), which offers enterprises of any size a virtual customer service centre for emergency hotlines, customer helpdesks or technical support to address customers with fast, informative and effective responses.
