News : Allstate to Add Jobs in Lincoln
Lincoln, NE, USA, May, 2016 -- Allstate Corp. plans a new call center operation at its Lincoln office and will add at least 20 jobs.
A spokeswoman for the insurer said it plans to open a customer call center at its Lincoln campus in July to provide support for Allstate Benefits, which distributes and administers voluntary health, life, disability, vision and dental coverage, working with employers who offer these benefits to their employees.
"The plan is to recruit an initial team of approximately 20 call center employees," April Eaton, the spokeswoman, said in an email.
This is the first news -- good or bad -- about Allstate's Lincoln operation since completing the sale of Lincoln Benefit Life to Resolution Life in 2014.
Lincoln Benefit Life moved from the Allstate campus at 84th and Van Dorn streets to offices in a building at 12th and N streets.

Neither Allstate nor Lincoln Benefit life ever said how many employees transitioned from one company to the other or how many lost their jobs in the transition.
Before selling Lincoln Benefit Life, Allstate had about 800 employees in Lincoln. The company did not respond to a request for current employment numbers.
Eaton said Allstate "remains committed to maintaining a significant presence in Lincoln, where our employees work in areas such as our broker-dealer, underwriting, technology, customer service, product development and human resources."
