News : Alorica Plans to Hire 300 in Topeka for its Call Center
Topeka, KS, USA, Nov 20, 2015 -- Alorica is looking to hire 300 people for its call center in Topeka as part of a worldwide expansion.
The jobs are in customer service and tier-one technical support, according to Keith Lee, operations director for the Topeka location. Some are permanent jobs and some are seasonal, he said. An online job posting didn’t list the starting salary, but did say employees qualify for health insurance, tuition reimbursement and a 401(k) account with matching funds from the company.
People who want to apply must have a high school diploma or GED and basic keyboarding skills. They also need to have good listening skills and be available to work weekends and holidays, according to the job posting.
Alorica also planned to add 1,500 jobs in the Philippines; 670 in Spokane, Wash.; 500 in El Paso, Texas; 440 in Reno, Nev.; 270 in Niles, Ohio; and 200 in Guadalajara, Mexico, according to a news release. The company attributed the additional jobs to adding 26 new clients since the start of 2014.
