News : Amcom Software Announces the Amcon Console
Minneapolis, June 16, 2014 -- Amcom Software announced plans to introduce an emergency call-taker console that supports next-generation capabilities. The Amcom console helps public safety answering point (PSAP) call-takers swiftly coordinate dispatch for first responders, speeding assistance to 911 callers.
Amcom now offers two distinct product lines for large PSAPs and college campuses as well as small municipalities based on the specific needs of each sector. Both solutions provide dispatchers with an interface that integrates with its existing phone and mapping systems. The solution helps organizations accelerate emergency response times by quickly notifying the appropriate emergency personnel.
"With the technology of the 911 infrastructure evolving for many 911 call centers, it’s important that our customers have the latest capabilities to maintain fast dispatch of first responders," said Terry Eby, Amcom’s Public Safety Product Line Manager. "Our solution is capable of connecting to the phone system via multiple methods, giving them the flexibility to do what works best in their unique environments."
