News : Ameridial Wants to Fill 300 Jobs
Jackson Township, OH, Sept 8, 2015 -- Another area call center business is searching for employees.
Ameridial announced plans to hired more than 300 customer service representatives for its offices in the Canton area and New Philadelphia.
Jobs are in the company’s health care and commercial divisions.
"These aren’t seasonal jobs. These are permanent positions," Mark Schmidt, Ameridial’s president, said.
The company’s announcement follows one last week by VXI Global Solutions, which operates a call center in Canton. VXI said it has started interviewing for up to 250 people, with the goal of hiring 100 before the end of the month.
Schmidt said Ameridial already has started interviews, and noted that the two companies are looking for applicants with similar skill sets.
Ameridial is considering candidates with customer service experience at call centers, or retail, hospitality and food service sectors. Applicants can apply at a local office or through the company’s website.
The new jobs stem from growth by the company’s customers, Schmidt said. Several clients are expanding and that has created a need for staff in the health care solutions and commercial sales and services divisions.
"It’s all from growth," Schmidt said of the need to hire new people. "We do a good job, a steady job."
Health care solutions employees handle customer service calls and aren’t involved in sales. Employees earn $10.25 per hour base pay, plus performance- based increases every six months.
The commercial division answers calls for products advertised on radio and television, along with post-sale customer calls. Pay averages between $12 and $13.50 per hour, and is higher on evenings and weekends. There also are work-from-home opportunities.
