News : Another Call Center Coming to Former Maximus Site in Boise
Boise, ID, USA, July 10, 2015 -- Sykes, a company that offers a range of call center services, says it will hire more than 300 employees by the end of 2015. The company plans to ramp up to 900 in 2016.
The Tampa, Fla., company provides service in brand advocacy, customer service, technical support and value-added sales.
Sykes has leased the same building on the Hewlett-Packard campus in Boise that Maximus used before laying off about 1,500 workers and closing in January. The Virginia company opened the call center in 2013 to provide customer support for the federal health-insurance exchange under the Affordable Care Act.
The Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce announced the Sykes center in a news release. The chamber provided no details about what the jobs would pay or what benefits they offer, whether the center would be permanent or temporary, or what customers the center would serve. Sykes did not respond to a request for information.
The chamber said Sykes will hold a job fair Wednesday at the University of Phoenix at 1422 S. Tech Lane in Meridian. The company is looking to hire full-time workers as well as flexible part-time workers. Those interested in management positions can apply at the company website.
