News : APAC Customer Services to Cut 282 Jobs in Green Bay
Nov. 5, 2013 -- An Illinois company has told state officials it will eliminate 282 call-center jobs in Green Bay.
APAC Customer Services Inc., of Bannockburn, Ill., gave notice on Monday of the job cuts, which take effect Dec. 31. The cuts stem from the loss of a large client, said Mike Bugaj, vice president of human resources.
Bugaj said APAC is pursuing other business for the call center and is "very optimistic" that it can find new work for many of the people whose jobs are being cut. The operation employs more than 800 people, he said.
