News : Argo Marketing Group Acquires Contact Center in South
Portland, OR, USA, March 6, 2015 -- A Lewiston-based customer service and management firm has acquired a South Portland company and its 80 employees from Dr. Newton’s Naturals for an undisclosed sum, the company said.
Jason Levesque, founder and CEO of Argo Marketing Group Inc., said his company will continue to provide sales and customer service for Dr. Newton’s, a vitamin and supplements maker that is moving from South Portland to Westbrook. All 80 of the call center’s employees will keep their jobs with the same pay and benefits under the new ownership, he said.
"They have been offered, and thankfully all of them have accepted, jobs at Argo," Levesque said.
Argo Marketing Group will relocate 50 of its employees from downtown Portland to the contact center, he said, adding that the company plans to do more hiring in the coming months as it takes on new clients.
The call center divestiture will allow Dr. Newton’s to focus on marketing and product development, Levesque said, while creating an opportunity for Argo to grow its contact management business.
As part of the sale, Dr. Newton’s will move its business operations from the call center facility at 53 Darling Ave. to 26 Thomas Drive in Westbrook, Levesque said.
