News : Arise Platform Meets Sustainability Goals through Carbon Emissions Reductions
Miramar, FL, USA, July 26, 2016 -- Arise Virtual Solutions Inc., a provider in on-demand customer management technology, announced that use of its platform had reduced carbon emissions by an estimated 6,000 metric tons in the first half of 2016. The company used data from the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute which measures average fuel economy and the corresponding effect on greenhouse gas emissions. Using Arise’s proprietary platform to connect to work-from-home call center businesses, clients are able to advance corporate sustainability through commuter travel avoidance.
The Climate Group in the United Kingdom reports that a major environmental benefit of working from home is the avoidance of fuel consumption, which contributes to the meeting of global targets for emissions reduction and energy demand. Arise estimates its platform contributed to reducing approximately 16 million vehicle miles driven year-to-date.
