News : TMOne Call Center Finds a New Home
Spearfish, SD, Oct 10 2014 -- One year after the 2013 blizzard destroyed the TMOne call center in Spearfish, the city signs a 7–year lease for a new building.
Initially, 10,000-square-feet of the 50,000-square-foot building will house TMOne employees. The rest of the space will be available for businesses looking to be located in Spearfish or for expansion of TMOne.
TMOne has employed as many as 200 workers in the past.
Since snow collapsed its building a year ago, the business services calling center is temporarily operating at the city recreation center.
A solid timeline for completion of the new building is tentative.
"You know, a lot of the timeline is going to be dependent on the weather this winter but we're optimistic that we can have this facility done by the early part of next summer," said Bryan Walker, Executive Director of the Spearfish Economic Development Corporation.
Walker said the large space will allow the city to market to companies looking for a strategic location to provide support services to the oil and gas industries in the Bakken and Powder River Basin areas.
