News : arvato UK Expands Management Teams to Boost Growth
Slough, UK, April 16, 2015 -- Global business process outsourcing (BPO) partner arvato has strengthened its management teams across the UK with five high-level appointments.
The new hires are set to boost service capabilities and support growth across the company’s customer relationship management, public sector and supply chain businesses.
Emma Waters, who joins as customer service solutions lead, will focus on implementing new contact centre and customer care solutions to improve efficiencies and service quality for clients across arvato’s private and public sector contact centre business. Waters joins from UK packaging and delivery specialists, Whistl, and has more than ten years’ experience in leading customer service strategies, which includes roles at O2 UK – Telefonica and Peninsula Business Services.
arvato has also bolstered the leadership of its local government BPO business. Amanda Walker has been appointed site director at arvato’s partnership with Sefton Borough Council. With 24 years’ experience in sales and customer service, including previous roles at Marks & Spencer, BskyB and Ticketmaster, Walker brings significant private sector experience to drive transformation and efficiencies of service delivery.
Kevin Hales has been confirmed in the position of site director at arvato’s UK headquarters in Slough, after having held the position in the interim for six months. Hales’ background is in financial management, including three successful years in senior finance roles at arvato UK, as well as posts at Aviva Life Insurance and Northern Foods. Hales will manage arvato’s operations in Slough, including the company’s private sector contact centre business and its local government partnership with Slough Borough Council.

The new hires follow a number of senior appointments made to the leadership team in 2014, which included Chris Brine-Howe as chief information security officer.
In addition, arvato has strengthened its supply chain solutions business with the appointment of Kerry Smith as financial controller, bringing 13 years’ experience in ecommerce and logistics following management roles with Wincanton and Norbert Dentressangle UK. Smith will work as a finance business partner, overseeing financial management, processes and reporting at the company’s shared user warehouses at Hams Hall, Birmingham.

In arvato’s Financial Solutions business, Debra Iredale has been promoted to group head of quality assurance. Prior to her current role, Iredale led the company’s Stratford-upon-Avon office for five years, managing relationships with clients in the banking and finance and utilities sectors. Iredale is an expert in quality assurance, operational management and bereavement support, having held senior positions with Littlewoods, Philipps and Cohen Associates and most recently BCW Group.
