News : AsiaInfo Wins First European Mobile Operator Deal
Beijing, China/Santa Clara, Calif/Cambridge, UK, 19th November 2013. -- AsiaInfo-Linkage, Inc.(Nasdaq: ASIA), Asia’s supplier of BSS systems, announces that it had secured a business support system (BSS) contract with a European operator group. The contract is with Telenor ASA (Telenor Group).
AsiaInfo will steer Telenor’s BSS transformation for the company’s operations in Denmark, as well as provide implementation, operational, and maintenance support. The project will include AsiaInfo’s proprietary billing, customer relationship management, and real-time analytics software, including the Company’s Veris™ BSS solution. Veris is designed to leverage the efficiencies of a cloud-based platform while radically simplifying the customer support operations associated with typical legacy systems, and currently serves more than 890 million users in Asia. Work on the project began in September of this year.
Telenor Denmark CEO Marek Slacik said: "The development of a new IT platform is crucial in our ongoing efforts to create a new, simpler and more efficient Telenor, and we have high expectations in AILK as our partner on this journey."
