News : AT&T Call Center Surpasses Goal, Raises $10,000 for March of Dimes
Wheeling, W. VA, May 18, 2015 -- A major donation was made to the March of Dimes Monday by employees of the AT&T Call Center at the Highlands.
With an original goal of $7,000, they well surpassed and raised $10,000 after months of fundraising for their annual "March of Dimes Walk."
They did everything from soup and salad lunches to auctioning off tickets to Pirates games and raffles.
"We utilize the money that they raise to really find the causes of, that really drive our mission, of premature birth, infant mortality and birth defects," March of Dimes Division Director Benjamin Chaffee said. "What AT&T has done here in Wheeling is absolutely phenomenal. The $10,000 plus that they raised is really amazing."
The grand total raised was $10,100.
