News : AT&T to Hire 30 Workers in State
Nov 15, 2013 -- Reversing a trend of jobs cuts in Connecticut this year, AT&T plans to hire more than 30 full- and part-time workers here, the company said.
The new employees will support the company’s retail and network operations, AT&T said. AT&T employs more than 4,900 workers throughout Connecticut, the company says.
AT&T in June closed its New London call center, which had 78 workers. It also eliminated 36 statewide cable splicers and 17 telephone directory workers, the Communications Workers of America Local 1298 said then.
