News : Avant Call Center, 200 Jobs Heading to Blount County
Blount County, TN, USA, Dec, 2017 -- State officials made a last-minute holiday announcement when they detailed 200 new jobs that will be coming to Blount County.
Gov. Bill Haslam and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe announced Avant LLC, an online lending platform, will create a new operations and call center in Louisville. The 200 jobs will come over the next few years, according to a news release.

"Avant’s decision to open this new center, create jobs and invest in Louisville will have a significant impact on the Blount County community," Rolfe said in the release. "There are over 77,000 Tennesseans employed in the business services sector and I appreciate Avant for continuing to grow this industry in our state. Thank you, Avant, for your commitment to Tennessee and Blount County."
Avant is a provider of credit alternatives to middle-income consumers and also offers its technology solutions to bank and non-bank partners, according to the release.
"This new facility will help support many of our growth initiatives so we can continue to provide our customers and partners with best-in-class services," Avant President Adam Hughes said in the release. "Our leadership team conducted an extensive analysis of several locations and believe that the opportunities presented to us in Louisville will continue to move Avant in the right direction."
The company is moving into an existing 25,000-square-foot building. It expects to be operational next month.
