News : Avercom Call Center Relocates to Monroe
April 28, 2014 -- All Avercom Virtual Solutions agents from the Lake Providence office have been relocated to the Monroe office.
Company owner Nielle Bush of Monroe said the building in East Carroll Parish has been closed because of irreparable conditions including poor plumbing, and roof damage that allowed leaks which caused equipment and flooring damage.
She said the building was determined unsafe and unsanitary for our use, and all of the issues were brought to the city's attention prior to the company staring work there.
"We were informed that these issues were resolved," she said in an email. "Upon moving in, we found these problems and more. This resulted in damage to company property and down time for agents. Many efforts have been made to resolve these issues to no avail."
Bush opened the call center in Lake Providence in this year. She said she was inspired to make a difference in the town after watching CNN's 2013 documentary featuring Lake Providence as the most unequal place in America.
