News : Bazile Telecom Launches Telehealth Services
Dec 16, 2014 -- French seniors MVNO Bazile Telecom has launched a range of tele-healthcare services under the ‘Bazile Telesante’ brand, France Mobiles reports. These include fixed and mobile phones with SOS buttons, and a GPS belt for people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
There are four main services, which put customers in contact with a call and intervention centre in Aix-en-Provence. Mobil’Assistance supports users who push the SOS button on the back of their mobile phone. Global’Assistance provides additional protection in the home by offering an SOS button on the fixed phone and waterproof medallion or bracelet that can also be used to contact the call centre.
Alzheimer Support offers a belt with GPS and fall detection. It can operate for two weeks without recharging. Finally, the Telemedicine service allows customers to receive medical advice by a general physician in partnership with FranceMedecin.fr. An operator can remind the customer to take his or her medication, or of a doctor’s appointment. It can also be used to organise ambulance transport.
