News : BBMP Sahaaya is Now More User-friendly
Bengaluru, India, Dec 9, 2015 -- The pothole you ride past every day has got wider? Or, did the garbage black spot just get bigger? Whatever the problem, all you need to do now is pick up the phone, click a photograph if possible and send it to the BBMP.
Trying to find an alternative to existing grievance redressal mechanisms, such as call centre and website, the civic body has remodelled its mobile app ‘BBMP Sahaaya’ to make it ‘more user-friendly’. Among other features, it enables you to post complaints as a guest and follow up on the progress of the complaint without registering.
"If the complainant’s GPS is on, location information will be fed directly into the complaint," said Kumar Pushkar, Special Commissioner, Finance and Information Technology, BBMP.
A ‘My complaints’ section will help citizens keep track of all the grievances.
"The earlier application was not functioning well. We have remodelled it to make it more user-friendly and are awaiting feedback," Mr. Pushkar added.
