News : Bhagwant Mann Launches Helpline for Farmers
Sangrur, India, Oct 13, 2014 -- Aam Aadmi Party MP Bhagwant Mann launched his own helpline for farmers to complain about problems related to paddy procurement.
Talking about it on Monday, AAP leader Dalbir Singh Dhillon said the MP had earlier promised the farmers of the region to provide a round-the-clock-helpline.
He said farmers, labourers, traders and commission agents could register complaints.
Snagrur AAP office in-charge Abjinder Sangha said, "We have the contact numbers of all officers involved in paddy procurement in the mandis of the district. If we get any complaints, we will call the officer concerned."
He said that party workers would also camp in the grain markets to help farmers. "Today, the helpline was active from 9 am to 5 pm. In a day or two, it will become 24x7."
