News : Big BPO Firm Needs More Agents in 2015
Davao City, Philippines, Jan 22, 2015 -- Business process outsourcing (BPO) company Sutherland Global Services (SGS) is targeting to expand their workforce to 3,000 by the end of 2015 to cater to the growing demands of their clients.
SGS-Davao City talent management senior manager Marsy Inigo, speaking in Wednesday's edition of Club 888 at Marco Polo Hotel Davao, said they have 2,000 workers servicing for anti-virus software companies, telecommunications, finance, travel, and data entry, among others.
She said they will aggressively hire some 700 workers within the first quarter of this year.
SGS-Davao City recruitment senior manager Grace Garay said the newly hired agents will supplement their current workforce to cater to the demand of their clients and posts left by employees.
She said they are presently looking for applicants for two United States (US)-based telecommunications companies and technical support agents for a US-based anti-virus software company.
Garay said for one of the telecommunications company, they are requiring applicants to have at least six months experience as a call center agent.
They will be giving a signing bonus of P30,000 for those who will be accepted.

A P5,000 signing bonus will also be given to applicants who will be accepted as customer sales agents for the other telecommunications company.
Garay also said they will need additional agents as chat support goes live this year and for the Australian program.
Interested applicants may apply at the SGS-Davao City along Jacinto Extension. The company also has recruitment offices in General Santos City and Tagum City.
