Middlesbrough, UK, Nov 3, 2021 -- Fancy a new job in time for Christmas?

A big wave of call centre jobs is on its way to Middlesbrough - and the firm behind it is hiring now.

Firstsource is creating 250 roles including full-time and permanent positions, after relocating from its to new base at flagship development Centre Square.

The new Customer Service Advisor roles will be based at Centre Square initially, with options to work from home in the future once fully competent in the role.

The company already employs 850 on Teesside.

Earlier this year, hundreds of staff moved from their old offices on Grange Road to newly-built office space at Centre Square.

Stacy Lawlor, Vice President - Operations, said: "We’ve been present in Middlesbrough for over ten years and it’s a place that we call home.

Customer Service Team Manager Bethany Boddy started as a customer service advisor with Firstsource four years ago.

She said: "Since working at Firstsource I’ve learned to manage client relationships, work as part of a team and have mentored others, which is extremely rewarding.

"No two days are the same and it is amazing to be part of a supportive team that is like a second family.

"The company’s growth is also exciting, meaning there are always plenty of progression and career development opportunities."

The company was also recently handed Gold accreditation against the Investors in People (IIP) Standard for its UK operations.

In its assessment report, IIP said Firstsource addressed employee needs by cultivating internal talent, providing support programs that include coaching and blended learning, as well as proactively identifying and developing the skills leaders will need in the future.

It identified seven areas of strength for the company, saying people felt "empowered to carry out their jobs" and were "proud of collective achievement through a period of great uncertainty and challenge".
