News : Birch Announces Expansion of Emporia Operations Center
Atlanta, GA, Jan 12, 2015 -- Birch Communications, Inc., ("Birch") a technology service provider of IP-based communications, broadband, cloud and IT-services to small, mid-sized, enterprise and wholesale businesses, announces it has expanded its offices in Emporia, Kansas to accommodate the company's growth. The expansion comes as Birch hires an additional 120 employees to work in its call center in Emporia.
Birch officials said the expansion project will begin immediately with capital improvements and renovations, including expansion into previously unused office space and an expanded parking lot. Once completed, Birch's Emporia offices will occupy nearly 40,000 square feet of space. This expansion capped off another year of high growth for Birch, led by its acquisition of Cbeyond in July 2014.
