News : BITC Launches Fraud, Ethic Hotline
Istanbul, Turkey, June 3, 2015 -- Individuals across Turkey will be able to call and report any election fraud they come across on Sunday. The reports will then be relayed over to the relevant bar association, or representatives of the Oy ve Ötesi (Vote and Beyond) non-profit, whose scores of volunteers will work as ballot officials.
Speaking on the establishment of the center, TBB President Metin Feyzioglu stated, "We aim to contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the legal conditions whereby the will of the people be freely reflected on the ballot… Any loss of trust in the elections will constitute to the biggest threat against democracy and peace in society."
