News : BMI Regional Seeks Tech Upgrade to Improve Customer Experience
July 21, 2014 -- Airline BMI Regional is seeking to upgrade its technology to provide a better customer experience for its passengers.
The firm, which has an app and an improved website in development, will look to integrate more technology into its customer touch points.
Marketing director Colin Lewis told Travel Daily UK: "The initial work of becoming an independent airline and building our network to the right size and frequencies is done and this has made us optimistic for future success.
"Once we rethink on the touch points and add more frequencies we can enter a period of more maturity for the airline."
He added that BMI would continue to focus on providing a regional service, and that London "is not a focus" for the airline.
Budget carrier Ryanair has also sought to improve its customer experience recently, launching a new website and mobile app.
