News : Bright House to Add Call Center Jobs in East Manatee
East Manatee, FL, August 14, 2014 -- To accommodate area growth and an increasing customer base in Manatee County, Bright House Networks is adding a new call center to its East Manatee facility and is hiring 120 new employees to fill it.
Currently, calls from Manatee County customers are being fielded through centers in St. Petersburg and Tampa. With the new center, Manatee calls will be routed to a Bright House facility at 5413 State Road 64, which currently houses 140 employees, including service technicians, installers and dispatchers.
"Adding the call center brings additional resources for BrightHouse Networks to meet customer demands and future growth," said Bright House spokesman Joe Durkin.
Calls to Bright House are now answered in 30 seconds or less, he added.
The 24-hour, full service call center will help customers add service, request service technicians and pay their bills, among other options. The 120 additional employees will be hired directly from the community.

"We're looking for people who can communicate well, be outstanding customer-service reps with strong commitments to customer service," Durkin said, adding that bilingual skills are always a plus.
Training for the first round of new hires will begin at the end of the month.
