News : Call Center Adding jobs Downtown Grand Forks
Nov 24, 2014 Grand Forks, N.D. -- A Winnipeg, Manitoba-based company could have as many as 100 employees in a downtown Grand Forks building in two years.
KPI Connect launched a call center in early October in the Edgewood Corporate Plaza, located at 322 DeMers Ave. The company is in a temporary location for now, but plans to occupy the third floor of the building, said KPI President Cynthia Selley.
That space could accommodate 70 to 100 employees in the next couple of years, she said.
Selley said KPI chose Grand Forks because of its proximity to Winnipeg and "work culture."
"It’s a dedicated and devoted workforce," she said, acknowledging the consistently low unemployment levels. "It’s quality over quantity that we are concerned about."
The company is operating an "inbound/outbound" call center in Grand Forks, focusing on the automotive industry.
"It’s right across the gamut of the automotive industry," Selley said, adding that their current clients are car dealerships, but will branch out into other areas in the future.
