News : Call Center Adds 200 Jobs
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, Nov 19, 2013 -- A worldwide payment service provider has teamed up with VXI Global Solutions and its local call center to help service their operation.
VXI Global will provide 200 agents at its call center in downtown Youngstown to assist customers using Western Union money transfers and Loyalty Services.
Locally, some workers will be transitioned to serve the new account and new hires will fill the remaining positions.
Steven Sigman, vice president of global operations for Western Union, said the partnership with VXI is "sizeable" for the company in the United States.
"They (VXI Global Solutions) took us to a couple of sites in Ohio and we landed on Youngstown because of the demographics they can provide, the university, things like that to bring the right talent to drive our customer experience," said Sigman.
