News : Call Center Agents Refurbish School
Cebu City, Philippines, June 8, 2016 -- Thirty-one employees of Executive Boutique Ph Inc. (EB) volunteered their time in this year’s Brigada Eskwela, an annual initiative that brings together teachers, students, parents, and community members to help public schools prepare for the onset of the new school year.
The Cebu-based call center in I.T. Park is a first time participant of the Department of Education’s national schools maintenance program.
EB’s pioneer beneficiary is Camp Lapu-Lapu Elementary School with a student population of 2,725 pupils. Employee volunteers cleaned the school grounds and painted classrooms alongside teachers and volunteers from other organizations.
"Camp Lapu-Lapu is so blessed that we have Executive Boutique as our stakeholder. Their act of volunteerism and their sharing of blessings will surely make a difference in the lives of our public school children," said Brigada Eskwela coordinator Maria Estela Omang.
EB has alloted nearly P40,000 for the painting and cleaning of three classrooms.

Elsie Avergonzado, HR manager, said EB has chosen to prioritize Apas community’s very own public school. "The support of our local community is a big part of our success and we know that to sustain our growth, we need to do our part in helping nurture the pool of young talents that will eventually join the local workforce."
Education is one of the core advocacies of EB’s corporate social responsibility.
"Most of our CSR initiatives lined up for the year are geared towards supporting our adopted school. We hope to help address its primary needs in the areas of infrastructure, facilities, and supplies," Avergonzado added.
