Joplin, MO, USA, Sept, 2018 -- Alorica, a Joplin call center, has announced plans to nearly double its local workforce. The company is hoping to begin hiring 625 full-time, customer-service employees.
The contact center, 1717 W. Seventh St., currently employs 650 people; a company spokesperson said all of the 625 people Alorica hopes to hire this year would fill new positions.

While Alorica created 400 jobs last year and filled them in Joplin, the company said that those positions were seasonal. The jobs currently open include customer service representatives as well as information technology support staff.
"We’re thrilled to be growing and bringing jobs to the community we’ve called home for the last 10 years," Kelly O’Brien, senior site director, said in an email.
A spokesperson said Alorica offers its employees health benefits and tuition reimbursement and that job seekers interested in applying can find more information online.
